DOOCRACY :
Responsibilities attach to people who do the work, rather than elected officials.
The garden is formed of several loosely organized committees (gardening, communication, finance, events, operations) that have problem-solving, and execution power. Committees can make certain decisions without going to the larger membership. Any amendments to the bylaws must be done by getting consensus from the garden group.
Communication about activities can be carried out transparently and democratically (posting on WhatsApp or mailing lists) by members of committees.
Communication between members of one or more committees may be needed to coordinate garden-wide activities. These include annual assignment of plots, collecting Greenthumb materials and building projects and dealing with issues that affect the whole garden.
